From Industrial Engineer to Real Estate Sales Professional (PART 2 – My IE Life)

There you go, Christine! go with the flowFinally, you are now enrolled in Industrial Engineering at Adamson University! Bakit sa Adamson? Wala lang. Copy paste lang kay Kuya. Course + School. Haha! Because before, I can’t really decide for myself. I DIDN’T HAVE ANY VISION OF THE FUTURE. That’s the SAD reality.

I was so excited since 1st day na naman ng class. But just like my normal “firsts”, kabado na naman to go to school and kung anong mangyayari at kung sinong makikilala.

My IE Life (1)
Rachelle and Jen were my seatmates way back 1st Year College (2007)

I remembered, kung sino ang mga seatmates ko noong 1st week as IE student (way back 2007), sila na din mga naging kasama ko until 2nd year. Naging madali lang for me ang 1st two years sa College. Thanks to my Alma Mater nung High School, St. Mary’s Academy – Pasay! I was really equipped sa mga minor subjects especially Mathematics. And oh yung sa Filipino at English na may activities na “creating a poem and reciting it in front”, “making your own piece and delivering it”, “role playing” and “my presentation skills.”

When I became a 3rd year IE student, that was the time na na-experience ko ang “real” IE life. May mga major subjects na kami and struggling na pumasa every sem para maka-graduate on time. Notable talaga ang mga exams na 2 items lang tapos 50 points each. It’s either 100, 50 or 0 lang ang score. Haha! Katawang isipin ang nakaraan and I’m happy na na-surpass ko ito.

Fast forward….. Naging super busy na kami sa “buhay IE”. Bahay – School – Bahay – School. (Minsan SM Manila para gumala. Haha!). Sa pagiging immersed sa different subjects and all the scenarios na we will about to face in the outside world (corporate world), minahal ko na din ng tuluyan ang field ng Industrial Engineering kung saan we’re studying the 5 factors of Production: Man, Money, Machine, Methods and Materials. Ang ganda-ganda pala nitong course na ito dahil mas naunawaan ko lalo ang all aspects ng BUSINESS. I love it!

Yes! My effort paid off!

Finally! After those gruelling 5 years in college as an IE student, naipasa ko din lahat ng mga subjects and thesis ko with flying colors! I will always remember those memories that taught me lessons to be successful in life.

I will sum up “My IE Life” in 3 lessons: (1) Don’t be afraid to ask for support because people are very willing to help you. (2) Mahirap man sa umpisa pero it’s all worth it. And lastly, (3) Think outside the box, do your own research, and apply to see if the ideas are effective.

All my achievements are dedicated to my mom and my dad. Thank you for your love and support!

Hooray! Thank you sa overwhelming support ng aking parents, the whole family and relatives! I am now an Industrial Engineer!!!
