From Industrial Engineer to Real Estate Sales Professional (PART 6 – I made it!)

Success!!! After committing to the system (which is working for years already for DRIVEN Marketing Group Inc.), finally dumating na din ang FIRST SALE ko last January 23, 2013. This is one of the memorable dates for me because this is a validation that I AM CAPABLE. Sinabi ko sa sarili ko, “Kaya ko pala magbenta ng Real Estate. Ang galing-galing ko talaga!” I was affirmed by my family and co-Drivenites. Super saya ko talaga nyan! I will always cherish that moment. BUTI NA LANG hindi ako nag-give up. BUTI NA LANG tinuloy-tuloy ko lang. BUTI NA LANG sinunod ko na ang mga sinasabi ng mga successful people dito sa Real Estate at dahil dyan, I didn’t have to reinvent the wheel.

Because of that specific incident, tumaas ang confidence ko to do this business. Pagkagising ko at bago ako matulog, I will post ads and/or update my ads. Then in the middle of the day, it’s either I will go out for a tripping OR attend a Product Knowledge Seminar (PKS) by the developer/Site-Orientation/training in DRIVEN. I DID THIS MONDAY TO SUNDAY when I was a newbie! (Joke nga ni Manong Guard sa isang project, “perfect attendance” daw ako sa site kasi 7 days a week ako nagttripping. Haha!)

Nakapag-create ako ng DRIVEN habit na effective for me kaya 6 months after my first sale, I was shocked when I was awarded as one of the TOP 15 ALL-TIME SELLERS of Driven Marketing Group Inc., having P36 Million Sales (I did this for 6 months as a newbie – no knowledge in Real Estate AT ALL). KAYA KO NAMAN PALA!

While I’m still learning the basics of Real Estate Selling, I passed the board exam and became a Licensed Real Estate Broker last April 2013. Since I took time to grow myself for 1 year (2012-2013), where I attended a lot of Personal Mastery Seminars, I was able to train myself so hard and eventually increase my value as a person. Wala man akong kinita for 1 year since graduation (I even borrowed more or less P100,000.00 from my parents and relatives to INVEST HEAVILY ON MYSELF for all the seminars I’ve attended), what I really earned was yung learning ko about myself and my life.

Finally! On May 17, 2013, dumating na din ang FIRST CHECK ko around P6,000+ for selling real estate properties and helping Filipinos have their dream home. Hindi pa every month ako nagkaroon ng cheke nyan since nagsisimula pa lang naman ako. Dahil I programmed myself na Real Estate is for long-term (usually 2 years pa daw in the business para maging monthly na ang cheke), na I won’t be able to have income agad pag nagreserve si client (coz we’re NOT a Reservation Agent), nag-stick lang ako sa structure and JUST DO IT.

By December 2013, DRIVEN Annual Awards Night, I was awarded as TOP 4 SELLER for the fiscal year 2012 to 2013. Super saya ko nung panahon na yan. I will always remember the times na I was doubting myself kung kakayanin ko ba ito at iniisip ang mga sasabihin ng lahat ng tao sa paligid ko, pero ngayon, napatunayan kong KAYA KO BASTA GUGUSTUHIN KO. Sabi nga di ba, “Do what you love” and if you cannot do it, “Love what you do.”

I was able to climb my way to success! I already have a handful of salespersons under my team nung panahon na yan. And what I did was to journey WITH them. I am learning and they are also learning. I have experienced being a FULL-TIME SALESPERSON. I have experienced a lot of negative feedbacks. I have experienced clients na super demanding, masungit, magulo kausap and all! I have experienced malipasan ng gutom during tripping. I have experienced hindi siputin ng client na sinabing pupunta siya. I have experienced magpalipat na ng client sa bagong bahay nila (because from inquiry to after sales ang duty namin). LAHAT NA! Thank you sa lahat ng mga experiences na yan. BUTI NA LANG nangyari sila at dahil dyan HUMABA ANG PASENSYA KO at NATUTO AKONG MAGING COMPASSIONATE LALO TO A LOT OF PEOPLE. BUTI NA LANG dahil ngayon, I HAVE STORY TO TELL. I didn’t happen overnight. It happened over time.

My achievements for 2013: Top 4 Seller (estimated 39 Million sales and helped more or less 39 families) + Innovative Award + 4 actively selling persons in my group
