I used to think rest had to be grand — expensive vacations, long leaves, full-on retreats. But I’ve learned that mini escapes — those short weekend breaks, local getaways, or even an afternoon nature trip — are enough to reset your soul.
Now, when I plan my year, I don’t just schedule work milestones. I also schedule pause points:
🗓️ A beach trip after a major project.
🗓️ A quiet Baguio weekend in the middle of the year.
🗓️ A no-agenda Sunday once a month.
These “intentional interruptions” help me stay creative, grounded, and joyful. They’re not distractions from life — they’re part of living fully.
Whether it’s with friends, family, or your significant other — or even just yourself — make space for joy in your calendar. Because life isn’t just about working hard. It’s also about living well.
📝 Reflection Prompt:
What places bring you peace? Can you intentionally plan for more moments there this year?
